Unprecedented Earth Changes

Overnight here in Australia up in the North Queensland coast, we had cyclone Yasi. Apparently there were gusts of up to 320 km per hour. It was the first category 5 cyclone of the century to cross the coast. The cyclone hit at midnight at Mission Beach, Tully, Innisfail and Cardwell. The event was described using words such as ‘violent winds and rains’ and ‘apocalyptic’ describing Mission Beach. That is our fear speaking, but I wonder what is really happening.

I remember doing some research on Australia’s emergency response in relation to epidemics and ways to control and contain outbreaks. However, the theme was how we coordinate and ensure optimum public safety. Issues looked at were primarily communication and information provision. The ability to deal with high risk events has in recent memory been tested, given the wild fires, floods and cyclones in Australia. I remember the infamous Victorian fires labelled Black Saturday, and I recall at the time a sickly feeling in the atmosphere. It was very strange to see the sky covered in light brown almost baked yellow smoke accompanied by overwhelming sweltering heat. I was looking for a flat that day, but the feeling was unmistakeable that something was wrong. I remember feeling about earth changes. The melting of the ice caps often comes to me as a sign, which I don’t ignore.

In my mind, the earth is shifting. This is a problem one cannot find ‘enemies for’ or someone to fight. The mirror most definitely shines back on ourselves and our impact on this planet. Rather than viewing different viewpoints as opposition or people to be watched, I feel it is necessary to come together and examine different views with respect and find workable solutions. I see this as a form of truth and reconciliation with our civilisation and the planet.

I sense the tipping point has been crossed and nature is manifesting extreme events as the natural systems are moving out of balance to a renewed vitality. The tipping points are really the natural limits that provide for changes but remain stable or in balance. This is the process of homeostasis or what those trained in Economics call equilibrium, good word that one. Zero point comes to mind as I write this, so I do a quick Google search to explore to find it means the lowest possible energy or resting point. I am speculating now, but maybe this erratic behaviour is due to the zero points (stability) being knocked on quickly, the image I get is similar to the domino effect. So the system appears unstable or chaotic. So the natural harmony of nature has what I wrote in my poem an arrhythmia. I can also see it similar to the body that has chemicals pumped into to treat disease, to find other problems cropping up as side effects. I think the natural situation is reflecting this dysfunction. Why is this important? The stability provides the supports systems for you and me.

I feel the purpose of the changes is to help us to see humanity as one planet. Moreover, that we are literally the planet. Often we see everything as separate parts (Newtonian mechanics) but where did you or I come from prior to conception and how do we know how to adapt. DNA encodes for contingencies and ensures survival in harmony with the natural world. Darwin made this visible through the concept and words ‘natural selection’. Those more suited to the environment were more likely to survive. This is why I emphasise in this blog to explore Our True Nature and I constantly speak of harmony and peace. This is naturally selected. This is key to becoming aware of the intelligence beyond what we think in our artificial world. The DNA is an example of our biological oneness with planet earth. We may co-create but we did not create ourselves and clearly there are general similarities with the other beings on this planet e.g. eyes, nose, breathing, movement and adaption etc. So we are integrated into nature.

Back to the earth changes. I feel these events serve to force us to look outside of distractions and divisions and identify with others undergoing upheavals, loss, devastation with a feeling of compassion. This is the feeling side of our true nature. I was impressed to learn after the massive flooding of Brisbane here in Australia, that there was a traffic jam going into Brisbane as so many people came to help the flood victims. Usually the jam is to get out. This is an example of how we respond empathetically and see ourselves as each other. What if I was in that person’s situation, how would I feel? What would I need? This is expanding empathy and love for each other. We live in such focussed lives, along national lines and what is relevant are only those issues that affect us personally.

In the case of world events, the message sent by nature is that it is changing. It is clear that we are recording unusual events. The reality is that these events are happening and we cannot control them. That is reality.

It we are to step out of our box and think about the earth’s place in the solar system and the circular movement around the sun. This is not happenstance, there is intelligence beyond our understanding that created other planets. The system has order and an ability to self regulate. The universe is the contextual field in which we live, yet we, in the current age, have no real sense of direct intuitive connection to events outside of earth. I would have to add the indigenous peoples have a deeper connection to the cosmos, the Australian Aborigines had no thought of separation. When the British arrived the Aborigines couldn’t understand ownership, they experienced a spiritual life intricately woven into the environment. In cities and working life there is no time to contemplate the meaning of our lives or touch a flower to explore its perfection. We have become distracted and lost the ability to feel that connection. So when someone talks about it we see them as on another planet. I feel like the unity and consistency of universal systems shows us that there is a purpose for what we will go through in the future, as part of that system. The best we can do is be of service to each other and look with curiosity, as these changes are unprecedented.

In the next blog I felt to write a poem to feel this creatively. Poetry is a way to leave the box. Is it true or not? I really don’t know, I just follow the thread and I get a feeling of positivity, not a yes or no. Only you know in your heart what is true for you. I ask you to leave your head behind. The problems in the future will not be solved through rational models, we have to reconnect to the true feeling, which is the guidance system of Our True Nature. The natural world is not human, yet the human is embedded in the natural world. Understand the shift in consciousness required. Seems appropriate to quote Einstein at this point:

“No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.”

Mohandas Gandhi

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”
