The First Australians: the Longest Living Civilisation on Earth

This is to honour the memory of Eddie Mabo who is being commemorated today across Australia for his Native Title claim 20 years ago.  He is truly a humble and great person dedicated to the freedom of his people.

This video tells the story of the First Australians. They are a dignified and mysterious people. I pay tribute to them and thank them for looking after this incredible country and showing us the sacred connection. Some Anglo Europeans are listening and dreaming for peace.  It is to remember who we really are.

Imagine living in a world with no t.v., no formal education where traditions are passed on, where the environment is clean, family is valued and you sleep in the arms of the mother.  I wonder what sort of world you would see.  Certainly not the one we see today full of neon, distractions, work, materialism moving at such a fast pace.  As we disconnected from the land we lost our way, we moved from great truths. Perhaps the indigenous people’s of the world, as they return to the ancient knowledge, will help us to find our way back to respecting our planet.

Today is also the Diamond Jubilee in London.   Such an impact the British made on the indigenous people of Australia.  Never was it Terra Nullius.  Indeed two worlds colliding.
