Jordan Petersen and Radical Conservatisim Sounding Reasonable?

I am learning more about Jordan Petersen and finding answers to how people see the world in their image.  All I know is that love is the answer, this is my primary motivation.  I love the caption about Destroying Leftist.  It seems anyone whose view is different is a left wing person. If they show compassion they are leftist, this is an untrue assessment.  What if left or right is irrelevant.  What if we use platforms to find or create division rather than embrace diversity.  I feel extremists believe they are right and sees the other is wrong and they will use language that justifies their side as reasonable.  I always look to see if a person unites or divides, if the message comes from fear or love.  What I feel is that we are all humanity actually expressing perspectives that differ, but I would say marginally it is not as bigger gap as people believe.  I find it fascinating to see some of my own perceptions expressed which are about speaking up, facing pain, taking responsiblity and freedom of speech as not a political right but a birth right actually. You are born with a mouth or means of communication, you will communicate, that is what we all naturally do.

I can now see how I’ve been viewed by those of a worldview they believe is right.  I don’t associate with any group, I have not read feminist literature but I am awakening as I have discovered my own life has been affected by the viewpoints of others, and I am curious to explore why.  I am working on what inspires me alone as I am learning responsibility in being who I am. I don’t have to read all the literature to take a position in order to have a right to speak or choose my words carefully.  I just speak from the heart.  I speak of freedom of speech but I felt inspired too as I saw silence as the ultimate repressor. I would never have been inspired to write about freedom of speech had this not been awakened in my consciousness through others not valuing this natural freedom.  I never saw myself as a victim, not once, I’ve always been the creator of my reality.  I see others as teachers not enemies that must be destroyed by fear mongreing the great evil or trying to push away something you disagree with.   I noticed certain people were unable to welcome a different view and then categorised it in their own wars.

I spoke up with love as I do feel a spiritual life, there is no void to fill. I am able to be alone because I don’t feel alone, I feel loved in a way that unifies with life not people, it is a gift and I am so grateful that I don’t need another’s love.  I talk about love as I am sharing what I know in freedom.  When I spoke up it was because I felt empathy for others.  I want others to have what I have.

I personally love the diversity.  I can embrace diversity as it inspires me to be more of who I am.  I am grateful for that.  I may not agree with another but I would assert their right to have a say as that is the true equality of opportunity that all expect.  Equality of opportunity is not the equal outcome it is the intent of equality in truth. Each person wants to be heard, there is no political anything in that, we all want to be treated with respect and contribute to the greater whole. It is a natural human instinct in a a group species.  So for me why would you want to shut down Agora’s of diversity because you believe an unquestioned story of some group that is challenging your world view.  I say good.  How do you know your world view needs to be challenged it is.  Byron Katie and law of attraction would convey to you that you drew it to yourself.  Certainly Jordan Petersen drew his critics, that is great.  He has to think hard about what he believes as the world will test him.  The Christian foundation to thought derives from right/wrong, good/bad dichotomies.  What if that was not true and the real question was does it serve you or  not?  Or as the wise Carl Jung said was what is the outcome?  I always look at that.  I had my challenges but I always see it works for the good as I grow as a person.  Those who gave me the hardest time were able to show me that I am truly nonviolent and that peace is the way.  They showed me where I suffer, I am open to that as I wish to heal where I have been hurt.  I have no desire whatsoever to shut them down even though I see them wishing to create the world in their image, a bit like playing God I feel.  Yet freedom has allowed all to choose, freedom of speech allows all to have their say.  What interests me is the clashing up of different ideas. That was the original purpose of the Agora.  It is to contrast ideas and through that clash better ideas emerge. When we seek to demonise and make an enemy of another we then shutdown the possibilities and we have to work hard to keep that image intact.  Change requires flexibility, openness, working together, being accountable.  When words translate into a lived experience then it gets exciting.

I note Petersen speaks of sexual harassment which I find fascinating.  He is Christian I believe, and he wonders if women and men can work together, he said he didn’t know, that is definitely a no.  How do I know this, because he said he worked with women to help with their careers, so clearly he has done this. If he is saying ‘don’t know’ he is sowing doubt, this is his own personal life expressing. I know this as it is clear in experience if you can or can’t work with people, albeit Gender.  I worked in 400 companies and I can work with men, the question is can they work with women as equals? I had a male colleague who never socialised with me as I was a woman, I noted if I was a bloke he would definitely have.  This is the big test for men. Can they share power?  I found if as a woman you are subordinate they are happy, if you challenge them the energy changes, they don’t like it as they think it is an affront to their masculinity when it has nothing to do with that, another person is expanding their boundaries, seeking to go further than a box.

I wrote a report into Women in Local Government and the women talked about their experience in service roles, how there were no female role models, how the men in management actually played on their blackberry phones when the woman was giving a talk.  They didn’t realise the woman would be insulted by that.  I revealed the truth of this matter from both men and women and it was clear that women didn’t feel they could progress easily.  I myself, I am not into competition or forcing my way to the top, it isn’t my nature. I prefer cooperation, team building, creative innovation and fun workplaces.  I love sponteneity as it is more natural and honest, children do it all the time as it is a basic human instinct to not premeditate but just be yourself.

In love based realities people are free to be themselves, in fearful realities they fear judgement and suppression so they self censor.   I have chosen not to do that as I wish to be who I am.  I no longer care how I am judged and I am having fun learning about life and others.

Jordan speaks of make up. He is clearly not a woman or trans gender.  Make up is actually more related to creativity and feeling safe.  We wear make-up, jewellery, colourful clothes as this is reflective of the feminine and the artist.  Make up is also about feeling good about ourselves as we are judged if we don’t look attractive, particularly by men.  I don’t wear it for sexuality I wear it for me, it is socialised by mothers and women in society.  I was told I was ugly when I was a child repeatedly and believed it for a long time. So make up in a way helped me to cover that.  I never wear clothes or make up to attract men, I just felt better dressing up and keeping motivated as if going to work. My life is generated out of my own intent.  Women in film has taught women to look pretty, that their value comes from looks, men reinforce this by making a fuss of women who are attractive and quite rude to women who are not.  I’ve seen the sexism and it is appalling.  I know why they cover up and try to look good, they don’t want to be put down. This is something Jordan doesn’t understand. It matters not that he is a psychologist, he is a man and he hasn’t had the experience.  That is all.  I’ve met confused psychologists who know nothing about who they are, that is why they became psychologists, they live in a world of clinical models, diagnosis and labels.  I know that love heals most mental health issues.  If we were to focus on loving people unconditionally, 99% of the mental health issues would disappear.  That I know for sure.

Treat people with love and respect and the world mirrors back. Even if those others don’t reciprocate just know they are unable.  I feel the withholding of love comes from pain that people carry.  When I see restraint, control and judgement I know there is fear there. When, as a clown, I experienced love, openness, transparency, play and laughter a great weight left my shoulders as I felt the lightheartedness of true freedom as I saw great beauty in every face. This is the real humanities that we have lost.  That is why I feel to cry for some I’ve encountered as I know in their hearts they aren’t happy and they may blame others for that.  To take real responsibility is to look at your own unhappiness and discord.  The same of course applies to women.  We all have to join hands and face the pain without blame.  It is about learning how to work in harmony together.  To learn how to stop behaviours that may cause harm and how to live with diversity without fighting the ‘uncomortableness’ when it arises. If you are uncomfortable you are out of harmony with your own truth.  Jordan doesn’t see that at this point but I believe he is a catalyst. His is attracting disgrunted young males, that means his message hits a chord in those disaffected who are seeking a channel to air grievances. It doesn’t mean he is right although certainly elements of what he says sounds reasonable.  Through his contrast he will help men and women explore these perceived differences, out of this, as Jung would wisely state, is to look at the situation again.  Look at what you have learned.  Life is a great teacher.

In truth you can never shutdown humanity, we are here to look at our shadow projected which is when we see with a darkened story.  Dialogue will enable people to face the other they fear, not to condemn but to learn. I am not here to change anyone, I am here to change myself and I love that journey.

The interviewer was very intelligent I felt.  He raised some wise questions which enabled Jordan to reflect. I am on neither side, I am only interested in truth.  What is it?  Are you right/wrong or just different?  Again, look at the outcome of the clash rather than hating the other.  That is a waste of time.

Enjoy another, similar to Trump, stirring the melting pot.  I love life.
