Peace as Nature: David Attenborough Discussing Specific Species
If you play all on the video it will take you on a journey through different species starting with the Quiver Tree. Other species discussed are the catapillar, weaver birds, bower bird, bird mating and many more nature series.
Nature is the great teacher of resiliency and adaptation. I often find myself thinking about human systems and imagining how we can live in harmony with nature for our optimal survival. I always recall Bill Mollison the former CSIRO Australian Scientist who invented permaculture, he used to sit for hours in the forest learning from nature. He ended up creating complimentary organic systems that worked with nature not against it. Until we see nature as not something we want to keep out or simply exploit, but understand that we are indeed part of this natural world as another species, then we will remain disconnected and on a path to our own species destruction. The challenge for humanity is to learn our true nature so that we can harmonise with the natural world and that will require us learning how to harmonise and evolve with each other. Peace is about interconnections, each part doing its job for the whole system and developing a foundation design that works on the basis of a symmetrical geometry. Nothing is wasted, nothing is taken for granted and we learn to celebrate what we have and our real connection to what is a sacred life. Enjoy the greatest teacher, mother earth!
