Why Didn’t a American Peace Pilgrim Win the Nobel Peace Prize?

I spoke to a friend about this woman who was one of my early teachers. She was an ordinary person.  Yet she would be seen as threatening to those who invest in violence on a range of levels. Yet she was harmless.

Like Gandhi she experienced God as truth, she said she felt god through a sunrise or a sunset, she reached out in a awakened divine nature. Byron Katie is the same type of person who is complete harmony with the life pattern. 

She didn’t proselytize to convert people to God, she simply walked and talked with people and discussed peace. I wouldn’t call her a warrior, I would call her awake.  We often think the warrior is the fighter, but we do not need to fight for peace.

The Dalai Lama speaks about peace. He saw it as hard work but for her it was effortless in truth.

Interesting how she is not known around the world, only actors and celebrities.

Robert Mueller spoke, not the Robert Meuller from the FBI but from the former Secretary General of the United Nations. Imagine if Robert Meuller from the FBI realised this as truth for him in his push for security and safety.  I would love that. I was surprised to see a similar name which reminded me of him.

The Nobel Peace Prize committee is charged with acknowledging peace makers but we we are witnessing today is the politicisation of this prize given some of the recipients are not peaceful. The committee tried to encourage peace but you cannot encourage it you have to make it visible where it already exists.  However, I guess those charged with these decisions need to know peace themselves and I suspect in their own lives they are not at peace.

If you want peace in the world, you must commit and BE THE CHANGE you wish to see.  It is to live inner peace.  Peace Pilgrim is an example, so is Byron Katie and Eckhart Tolle. There are many others. How you know they are true peace makers is that they hate no-one, they fight no-one and they are guided by a higher way.   You can never fight for peace.  It is a misnomer. You can only BE it.
